Imperialists, the local bad characters and the corrupt

gentry who had previously opposed Communism. We must

overthrow Communism if we are to carry out the true spirit

of the constitution of the Kuomintang and its own policy

for improving the lot of the peasants and workers. We

have suppressed Communism in order to accomplish our

National Revolution and to secure the early success of

the World Revolution. We hope that all of you comrades

will understand clearly the purpose of our suppression

of Communian. With the same spirit as that in which we have expelled the Communists we should go on to overthrow

all the local bad characters, corrupt gentry, militarists

and Imperialists, accomplish our National Revolution, and secure freedom and equality for China."

Speeches were also delivered by Tang Yin Wah,

member of the Provincial Special Kuomintang Committee, Tsu Tin Sham, member of the Mass Movement sub-Committee,

and several of the representatives. They spoke with great

indignation, and showed the greatest anxiety to wipe out their enemies as soon as possible (lit. before breakfast).

After this they all shouted loudly:

Overthrow all Chinese Communists who have

betrayed our late President!

and other watchwords. The banqueters dispersed at 8 p.m.

An unusually tense revolutionary atmosphere prevailed at

the meeting.
